Eagle Scout Service Project · Troop 686
Building better storage for the animals of the Tipton Humane Society.
I'm Quinn — a Life Scout working toward the rank of Eagle. For my service project, my team and I are building sturdy, purpose‑built shelving so the shelter can store food and supplies safely and care for more animals.
This is a donation, not a fundraiser. Gifts support the materials and supplies my project needs. Anything left over goes to the Tipton Humane Society.

Why it matters
A small shelter, a big need behind the scenes.
The Tipton Humane Society cares for dogs and cats in and around Tipton, Indiana, giving them shelter, food, and a safe place to wait until they find a loving home. Like every small shelter, it runs on donations and the hard work of volunteers, and every dollar is stretched to keep the animals healthy.
Behind the adoption rooms, the shelter depends on one storeroom to hold everything that keeps daily life running — bags of food, cleaning supplies, bedding, and donated goods. Right now that room is a bottleneck. The existing shelves are worn out and flimsy, sagging under the weight they're asked to carry, and there simply aren't enough of them. Supplies end up stacked on the floor where they're hard to reach and easy to damage, and staff spend time digging through clutter that they'd rather spend with the animals.
My project replaces that failing storage with strong, purpose‑built shelving around the perimeter of the room — sturdy enough to hold heavy supplies for years and plentiful enough to finally organize everything in one place. Better storage means less waste, smoother daily routines, and more of the shelter's limited resources going where they belong: to the animals waiting for a home.

How you can help
Two easy ways to support the project.
Give a donation
Every gift goes toward the lumber, hardware, and supplies we need to build. Give securely through PayPal — no account required.
A gift of any size makes a difference.
Donate materials
Prefer to give supplies? We can use construction lumber, ½" plywood, screws and fasteners, and gift cards to a hardware store.
Donated materials count toward our goal, too.
Help us give these animals a better‑run home.
Thank you for supporting my Eagle Scout service project. Together we can make sure the Tipton Humane Society has the storage it needs for years to come.
